Systems Supported Telefonix is a business, made up of a group of three
companies: Telefonix, Systems Supported and Orangebubble. Each of the individual
brands brings a wealth of experience in IT, telephony and internet connectivity,
integrated into comprehensive yet cost-effective solutions for small, medium or
large organisations.
The defining feature of Systems Supported Telefonix’ is the company’s ability to
understand customer issues and solve them through the application of technology,
rather than just identifying the problems that technology solves. This
philosophy filters down from the company’s Managing Director, Mike Kirby, a
visionary entrepreneur who started the company in 2002. This approach has
enabled Systems Supported Telefonix to go from strength to strength and continue
to foster ambitions of future growth. New products, services and significant
expansion has meant that the company relocated to larger premises last month and
launched a stunning new Customer Experience Centre.
To keep pace with the developments, Systems Supported Telefonix employed
Collumbell Communications in the autumn of 2006.
“We had reached a crossroads”,
explains Mike,
“and knew that we needed a strong marketing presence - an
essential investment for our future growth. However, we were unsure whether to
recruit a Marketing Manager or outsource the whole problem.”
In September 2006, Systems Supported Telefonix appointed Collumbell to develop,
manage and implement their marketing plans. Since this time, Collumbell has
essentially become the marketing department; creating and defining the strategic
direction as well as carrying out the tactical marketing activities. Collumbell
Director, Chris Ritchie explains why outsourcing was the right model for Systems
Supported Telefonix.
“Companies sometimes have a need to recruit a Marketing
Manager to develop the strategy and implement the marketing plan. It is
difficult, however, to recruit the right person because they either need to be
“high-level”, and thus expensive, or more junior and may lack the strategic

- Complete overhaul of collateral (brochures, flyers, presentations)
- Entire PR Management (including press releases, case studies and media relations)
- All marketing activities associated with the head office relocation from
change-of-address notifications to marketing the launch party.
